Partner 18, Events Associate, Crypto

We are looking for a strong Events Associate to join the a16z crypto team and help deliver thoughtful, high-touch experiences from concept through execution. This role will own key aspects of the event planning process, partnering across teams to bring exceptional experiences to life while ensuring every detail is executed seamlessly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role can be based in San Francisco or New York City and requires in-office presence at least two days per week. Approximately 30% travel is expected.

4–6 years of experience producing events, including large-scale conferences, summits, and executive experiences (blend of agency and in-house experience preferred). Proven experience managing event budgets, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and production partners. Superior project management skills. Highly organized and process-oriented. High integrity and sound judgement. Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%).
